Today I was going through the checkout at Macey's buying something for work. The bagger was an elderly man. When he saw what I was purchasing, he asked, "No food?" When I shook my head, he responded by holding up a small container of smarties (which is supposed to be for children). "Well we wouldn't want you to starve." he commented, motioning me to take one.
I grabbed a smartie and thanked him, leaving the store with a smile.
